The LGBTQ Room
The association has it’s own space in the Guild in the form of the LGBTQ room on the second floor.
A Safe Space

The LGBTQ room is a safe space for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered or queer students.
- You are, of course, welcome.
- You are not subject to prejudice, discrimination or segregation for any reason.
- You are free – in fact, encouraged – to express yourself (provided it does not infringe upon the rights of another student).
Sexual Health

As the Guild and LGBTQ Association are committed to promoting sexual health, the LGBTQ room is usually stocked with supplies of condoms and lube. In the event that the room is closed, condoms and lube can also be provided by the Advice and Representation Centre, through the corridor to the left of Guild reception.
Over the course of the Xmas holidays, we will be contacting THT and arranging supplies of safe sex packs.
Both the ARC and LGBTQ room also provide leaflets, flyers and literature regarding sexual health from various organisations included the NHS and the Terrance Higgins Trust.
General information and discussion
The LGBTQ Association relies primarily on online media (this website, the mailing list, Facebook, Twitter) to communicate information about events. However, members of the committee are always willing to discuss events, campaigns and are open to opinions and suggestions from our members and friends.
How to get there
