Film Nights
Every Sunday night at 7.30pm in the Guild of Students Guild Council Chambers we host our popular LGBTQ Film Night. Each week we show a different LGBTQ-related film projected onto a big screen. The film group is open to everyone who wants to come along, with a regular turn out of around 40 students. Like almost all of our events admission is free. It’s a great event for newcomers to meet some people in a relaxed and friendly environment and it’s also pretty damn good for anyone who loves film. We show a varied selection of movies that you won’t necessarily of heard of, from mainstream Hollywood to foreign arthouse.
This week’s film: “Shelter”

This week (Sunday, 7th March, 2010) we will be showing “Shelter“; a highly acclaimed, powerful and evocative film staring Trevor Wright and Brad Rowe.
When his college dreams are sidelined by family obligations, a young man finds comfort in surfing with his best friend’s brother.

and many many others. Also feel welcome to suggest an LGBTQ-related film – add a comment below or contact us to propose one.

I just noticed that you have ‘La Mala Educación’ on the list for possible future films… PLEASE show it! It’s one of my all time favourite films ever! If you need a copy of the DVD then I have it.
(I also have ‘Y tu mamá también’, and a lot of other Spanish films that would be suited to the LGBTQ’s film night)
